For wholesale brands on Shopify B2B

Emailed orders, done in Shopify.

No more retyping them. OrderJay reads the purchase orders your retailers email, places each one in Shopify B2B at their price and terms, and sends the confirmation. If a line or a quantity doesn’t match your catalog, the order comes back to you with a one-click fix.

The retailer’s mailbox

Example: a made-up store, retailer and catalog.

Retailers order the way they always have, in an email, on an order form, as a PDF or a spreadsheet, and someone on your team types each one into Shopify and writes back. OrderJay does that work from your Shopify records, and you hear only about the orders that need a decision.

How it works

A day of order email, finished as it arrives

Four messages from one retailer. On the left, the work each one makes today. On the right, what is already done.

What still comes to you

A line it can’t match and a quantity outside your rules come back with the fix prepared. A sender it doesn’t know, and any change of address, payment or contact, come back to you as they are.

When it needs you

It asks only what your records can’t answer, and keeps your answer

When your Shopify records settle every line, the order or reply completes on its own. When they don’t, it comes back to you — prepared where your records allow it — and a product name, a variant, a unit or a buyer you give is kept for next time.

A line it can’t match

It shows the products it could mean. Pick one and tick Remember, and that wording resolves on its own next time.

A quantity outside your rules

It comes back at the nearest quantity your minimums and increments allow, ready to place.

A different ship-to

Orders ship only to the address on file. One click sends this one there.

A sender it doesn’t know gets no reply until you add them as a buyer.

Time back

How much time comes back?

Put in your own numbers. The starting values are only an example.

100hours a month

600 jobs × 10 minutes = 100 hours

Growth covers 600 completed jobs a month.

An example, not a measurement: jobs × minutes, in hours. It assumes those jobs complete on their own, and leaves out setup and the ones that come back to you.

Getting started

Start in Watch. Turn it on when you’ve seen enough.

Your retailers change nothing. They keep emailing the address they use today, the way they do today.

  1. 01

    Connect your Shopify store

Install OrderJay from the Shopify App Store. It checks each company location for what B2B ordering needs, and tells you what to fix.

  2. 02

    Bring in your order mailbox

Forward the address your retailers already write to. Replies go out as “your store via OrderJay” until your domain is verified, then from your own address.

    Watch, then turn it on

Watch shows the order it would place and the reply it would send, and sends nothing. Turn on each kind of email when you’re ready.

Works with

  • Shopify B2B on Basic, Grow, Advanced and Plus
  • Zoho Inventory + Books: private beta, by arrangement
  • Your retailers as buyers on your Shopify B2B companies — they change nothing
  • Any mailbox that forwards — Gmail, Outlook or your own domain
  • The email itself, PDFs and scans, Word, Excel and CSV, photos, EDI exports
What it doesn’t do
  • Read orders sent by text or a chat app
  • Send invoices or chase payment
  • Serve retailers kept in a wholesale app other than Shopify’s own B2B
  • Sell to a retailer in another currency

  1. 1

A cancel window on every job

Ten minutes for orders and two for the rest, unless you change them. Cancel, and nothing is written to Shopify or sent.

  2. 2

    Shopify’s own numbers

Prices are Shopify’s calculation for that location. Stock is read live, and both are checked again when the window ends.

  3. 3

    Every job, word for word

Open any row to see the message that started it, what was placed and the exact reply that was sent.

It never

  • replies to a sender it can’t verify
  • ships to an address that isn’t on file
  • changes an address, payment term or contact
  • guesses a line it can’t match

Plans sized by the work that gets finished

Every plan starts with a 14-day trial of everything. There’s no free plan.

Starter

One store, one mailbox

Growth

$249/ month

600 completed jobs a month

One store, mailboxes as needed

Scale

1,500 completed jobs a month

One store. Above this, talk to us.

A job counts once, when it completes with something sent or placed — on its own or after your one press. What Watch only predicted, and a job that stops with you, doesn’t count.

You choose the plan when you install. Shopify bills it in USD after the trial; uninstall before then and nothing is billed.

Go past your plan’s jobs and nothing stops or slows down — we suggest the next plan.

Questions

Before you start

Does it finish the order, or leave me a draft order?

It completes the order in Shopify after the cancel window and sends the confirmation. Leaving a draft order for you to finish is a setting, off by default.

Do my retailers have to change anything?

No. They email the same address, the same way, with the same files.

Which Shopify plans does it work on?

Shopify B2B on Basic, Grow, Advanced and Plus. It checks each company location when you connect. Basic and Plus have been measured on development stores; Grow and Advanced are checked against Shopify’s documentation.

What can it read?

The email body; PDFs, including scans; Word; Excel, CSV and older XLS; plain text; JPG and PNG photos; exports from an EDI platform; and raw X12 850 and EDIFACT ORDERS files. It is not a direct EDI connection.

Is there a free plan?

No. Every plan has a 14-day trial of everything. Uninstall before the trial ends and nothing is billed.

Does it send invoices?

No. The confirmation names the payment terms; invoicing stays with you.

Where does my data go?

The privacy policy and the data processing agreement say what is read, what is kept, and when it is erased.

Hand over the next order.
